From a Public Betrothal to a Secret Wedding

Many of you were part of the marriage proposal I (Irene) made to Gloria Fiona at Teatro Vallarta at the beginning of the year, well here is what happened next; on the 11th of May, we got married.

It wasn’t a traditional wedding; it was a sacred soul union, held within a space intentionally prepared to support energetic alignment and spiritual presence. The wedding took place over the course of three unforgettable days at Hotel El Rinconcito in Mayto, a location known for hosting La Noche de la Iguana by La Catrina Cantina.

The guests were intentionally kept intimate, limited to immediate family and chosen family. Every segment of the three-day experience was thoughtfully designed, transforming our time together into a sacred space of light, connection, and healing. The experience included fire circles, spiritual singing, energetic rituals, live music, and moments of intimacy, stillness, and reflection.

On the day of the ceremony, from the moment guests arrived, they were cleansed and blessed before entering the ceremonial space. The aesthetic of the wedding was breathtaking; everything was inspired by the colors of the 7 chakras. Each guest was invited to wear a color representing one of the chakras, becoming a symbolic guardian of the energy it embodies.

As the brides, we wore white and all 7 chakra colors, representing unity and integration.

One of the most unique and stunning elements was the ceremonial cake made entirely with fruit. Its structure was built from thick slices of yellow watermelon, carefully stacked to form three large layers, decorated with a vibrant array of fresh fruits in every color. The result was a fresh, no-oven, nature-inspired colorful cake!

The entire ceremony was lovingly designed and led by the spiritual artist Angel Macías, also known as María Félix. Not only did she officiate our wedding, but she also envisioned and brought to life every emotional, spiritual, and aesthetic detail, all while honoring the budget we gave her.

My absolute favorite moment was seeing Gloria Fiona walking down the aisle to meet me at the altar. And a very close second was María Félix’s message. She truly listened and understood the deeper purpose behind our union. Her words fully expressed the essence of our intention. We wanted to bless and celebrate, in a conscious and wholehearted way, our step into a partnership rooted in love and spiritual connection. And she delivered our message with such grace! She did it magnificently. We are deeply grateful for her presence, intuition, and love.

Because this was a profoundly spiritual and energetically delicate moment, the wedding was held in a private circle, hence its “secret” nature. But now, with hearts full of joy and clarity, we feel ready to share this with the world!

This experience has grown into something greater than just our own. We have high hopes it marks the beginning of a new, authentic, and deeply meaningful way to celebrate spiritual unions in Puerto Vallarta. What we experienced was transformative, and we want to open the door for others to feel the same sacred beauty we did. Our vision is to offer this kind of spiritual ceremony to couples seeking a conscious, spiritual union beyond legal formalities or traditional religious framework.

And yes, we are already planning a big celebration to share our joy with all of our beloved friends in Puerto Vallarta. We cannot wait to celebrate our love openly with our community. Stay tuned!
