It’s exciting to witness the result of talent and hard work coming together as singer Gloria Fiona’s star continues to rise in Vallarta’s entertainment scene. Gloria has been around Vallarta for a decade, performing at clubs and bars, and this season, she has starred in original shows at some of the major venues.
Of course, there is no such thing as an overnight success, as Gloria has been focused and committed as an up-and-coming entertainer for many years. Her notoriety as a performer has been off the charts this season, with her sold-out, highly praised series of Adele Tribute shows at The Palm Cabaret.
Add to that her performances at the new Moonlight Theater, her weekly gigs in Bucerias, San Pancho, and La Penita, and her new weekly solo show at La Catrina Cantina (Sundays at 6:30 pm), and we start to realize that Gloria Fiona, in a few short months, has grabbed the attention of entertainment lovers all over Vallarta and beyond.
Gloria’s passion over the past few years was creating a tribute show worthy of the superstar she wanted to represent on stage. Her Adele tribute is a brilliant fulfillment of that dream. Every song is amazing and the enthusiasm for all these sold-out shows has been phenomenal!
Born in Rome, Italy, Gloria Fiona has traveled the world since the age of 19. When she arrived in Mexico 10 years ago, she didn’t know anyone, didn’t speak English or Spanish, and had no contacts in the entertainment community.
Shortly after arriving in Puerto Vallarta, Gloria placed second in The Voice of Vallarta, played in a band with Jorge Lausen from The Rolling Rockers, was part of the DA Crew band, and joined the popular all-girl grouped, Las Mambas, before moving on to perform her own shows in various venues around Vallarta and Nayarit this season. Vallarta has a new star in its music scene!
Gloria Fiona and her partner, Irene Jimenez, are also happy to announce that they’re officially a production studio!! Irene has been a fundamental part of the team in the last few months, dealing with the organization and promotion of shows, and is now the Business Manager of Gloria Fiona Live Music Production! For three years, Irene has operated “Good Irene,” a business team that offers bilingual assistance to tourists and residents for help with documents, personal help, administration, and pet care. “A Night of Burlesque” happening on Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:30 pm at La Catrina Cantina, will include a cross-limits show, where the body is a friend and singing, sensuality, comedy, and drama will be the protagonists of the act! Twenty percent of all proceeds from the show will be donated to RISE, Vallarta’s children’s shelter.
