Casa Rafaela and Candice Bernes Unite!

Casa Rafaela, a new concept in Puerto Vallarta, promotes the development of wisdom and compassion, the advancement of healing meditation, and the sharing of love and joy with oneself and all living beings.

Candice Bernes, Unified Mindfulness teacher and breathwork practitioner from Ottawa, Canada, presents her internationally acclaimed breathwork workshop in Mexico for the first time.

Puerto Vallarta continues to grow as a mecca for souls looking to expand their understanding of connecting oneself to one’s deep inner Self. According to Bernes, “A mindfulness practice will help you develop the skills to become increasingly aware of the expression of your heart, to abide in it and live through it.”

“Nature is the universe’s reset button for our minds, bodies, and spirits,” shares the founder of Casa Rafaela, Julie Guerrero. “Casa Rafaela could think of no better place than the Vallarta Botanical Garden to present the first of a series of collaborative efforts with Candice Bernes and her ‘Inhabit the Heart Practice.'”

Bernes continues, “There is a saying in Zen Buddhism that before you open the door, you open yourself to the door. Even if you are not an experienced practitioner, there may be a part of you that understands what this means. There is a way of being with your experience that merges both you and the object, so there is only experience happening, and you taste the undifferentiated peace at the heart of mindfulness. This is the practice I have named ‘inhabiting the heart.'”

Join like-minded people in one of the most beautiful settings in Mexico for this deeply healing experience. The Vallarta Botanical Gardens is a leading environmental organization in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with the mission to study, preserve, and display Mexican native flora and fauna for the enjoyment of residents and worldwide visitors.
