“You may have noticed that there’s a tremendous upsurge in what is called populism.
It’s actually a kind of tribalism where one person appeals to what many others would like.
To understand why this is so popular, it’s valuable to discuss some of the ideas that a very famous psychiatrist, Carl Jung, posited many years ago.
Jung believed that there was such a thing as a collective unconscious. It was a world of patterns and energies that were shared by all human beings. And, in this collective unconsciousness, human beings were already designed to respond in a certain way.
For instance, he proposed the notion of an archetype, which is a particular pattern that every human being has, that has you ready to respond.
Since so many souls have taken a body and that body is at the effect of your sun, there is an archetype of “The Sun,” such that when a baby is born and perceives the sun, and the baby is not really surprised.
There’s also an archetype of “The Mother” because every baby sees a mother and always has. There are certain things that get triggered at certain times.
One of the most interesting archetypes is the archetype of “The Disciple” and the archetype of “The Leader.” This refers to eons of experiencing tribalism, where one person is in charge and other people surrender to the words and the power of this person in charge. There’s some comfort in that, but there’s also great limitation.
Jung believed that human beings are programmed to bow down, to be a disciple, to follow. They’re also programmed to be leaders.
As a leader, the archetype was called ‘” The Mana Personality.” This was a person who had an experience beyond the mundane that affected them deeply and allowed them to say, “I am the light. I have seen the truth. Follow me.”
And, you may wonder, “Why, when these leaders come on the scene, are so many people willing to follow them?”
Jung would say this is because an archetype in them has been triggered. The “Mana Personality” rises up and the archetype of “The Disciple” responds.
The problem with all of this is that the Mana Personality, while having had a breakthrough in understanding, is not perfect. And, for the disciple, while there is great comfort in turning responsibility for your life over to someone else who you believe will save you, that is also delusional.
The hardest thing to come into (and what’s happening now) is that it is now time to own your divinity, to own your power, not as someone who can lead others, not in the way the ego would grab hold of power to control and aggrandize the small self– but as a sovereign being united with God, being the Christ, accessing all the power that you are, that God is.
It is not for the purposes of separation, but rather to exalt what God really is, to exalt shared interests, to be ‘love’ on earth, to know the truth for yourself without being told by some authority.
It is time to practice the art of thinking, not the habit of listening to your thoughts or other people’s thoughts– to come into your own as you were created by God, to be God where you are on the Earth, in full power and glory to God and to have that loving energy come through you in whatever form it takes.
Not to grab a corner on the truth, but to be the truth and to live the truth by example.
Many people are frightened by that possibility and see it as arrogance and evil and pride. It is none of those things. It is your birthright.
Let yourself breathe into your own divine loving power and see where that leads you.
See what you are drawn to. You will be cradled in peace and divinely cared for by being who you really are.
It isn’t necessary to make anyone else wrong or to make yourself right. It’s just a decision to trust something larger than another person or your small self and to be who you really are.
You’re doing this more and more.
I love you very much, and I’ll speak with you again soon.”
