Welcome to the 2024-25 season at ACT2PV!
As detailed in my last email, which you should have received a few days ago, there are LOTS of exciting changes in the works this year for ACT2PV. One of these changes is a restructuring of our subscription and donorship options.
YOU, our Subscribers, Patrons, and Sustaining Donors, are the lifeblood of the theater, and I mean of ALL theater, EVERYWHERE. Theater sponsorship is a time-honored tradition as old as theater itself. Shakespeare would not have had a career were it not for the sponsorship he received from his benefactors, nor would modern-day playwright Terrence McNally. As world-class mezzo-soprano, Marilyn Horne famously said, “When you see a young promising artist, just throw money at them. THAT’S what they need the most!” The same is true for regional theater around the world. In fact, I don’t know of a single major theater in any country that does not rely on its subscription base and donorship population.
So first and foremost, I want to say…THANK YOU!
We at ACT2PV could not do this without you. YOU are vital contributors and shapers of the artistic and performance art landscape in Puerto Vallarta, and we ALL value and appreciate you very much!
That being said, I want to fully acknowledge that, since coming out of the pandemic and with the passing of Founding Director Danny Mininni, ACT2PV has not fully realized its potential to acknowledge the contribution of its donors.
One of my main priorities as Director of Donor Relations and Outreach is to rectify this at every turn.
We plan to not only acknowledge past contributions and donorships, but also to actively seek out new friends and prospective donors to ensure both the life of this theater and its ongoing commitment to cultural entertainment in MY new adopted home, Puerto Vallarta!
To that end, we have created a brand-new system of patronage/donorship categories and recognition, and we WELCOME you to consider your own participation at the highest level possible.
SUSTAINING DONOR – [$169,500.00**MX($10,000.00) or greater]
The “Naming” Category. Our highest level of donorship, the Sustaining Donor, commits to 1-3 yrs of Sustaining Donorship and receives naming rights (and first rite of renewal) to different areas and/or structures within the ACT2PV facility (ie: The “Casa Karma” Red Room and the “Danny’s Mainstage Playhouse”). (Previous year’s donorship levels carry over as “grandfathered” years of sponsorship.
Each theater, and separately, each stage, bar, (including the new Terrace Bar), technical direction booth, dressing room suites, and guest lavatories, are available for naming in commemoration or memory of someone you love.
Additionally, Sustaining Donors’ benefits include:
● Full access for the Sustaining Donor (and one guest) to all of ACT2PV’s entertainment venues (INCLUDING the Broadway Icons Series and other ACT2PV Special Events).
● Names (and/or business names) printed in the NEW ACT2PV PLAYBILL.
● Names (and/or business names) and photos appear in the pre-show promotional video in ALL theaters.
● Names (and/or business logos) and photos are displayed on a commemorative plaque in the main lobby.
● An Invitation to all pre- or post-show opening night receptions, including meet and greets with the artist(s), a complimentary glass of champagne, and two additional drinks during the show for the donor and one guest.
● A personal profile with photo in one of ACT2PV’s newsletters.
● Priority seating for each show.
● A complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival to any of the ACT2PV entertainment venues, including special events, on- or off-site.
● Two free drinks throughout the season when attending a show in the Casa Karma Red Room or Danny’s Main Stage.
● A personalized ACT2PV VIP Card for discounts at the box office. Additional tickets for friends and family may be purchased at a 70% discount all season at the box office (cash only).
● Advance notice of ticket sales for all ACT2PV Special Events.
● These benefits are non-transferable.
ANGEL PATRONS: [$128,000.00** MX ($7500.00US)]
A major part of the ACT2PV family, Angel Patrons commit to this amount (or greater) for 1-3 yrs to ensure the future of Live Entertainment in Puerto Vallarta. (Previous years’ donorship levels carry over as “grandfathered” years of sponsorship.)
Angel Patron benefits include:
● Full access for the Angel Patron and a guest to all of ACT2PV’s entertainment venues (excluding ACT2PV Special Events, such as the Broadway Series)
● Names (and/or business names) printed in the NEW ACT2PV PLAYBILL.
● Names (and/or business names) and photos appear in the pre-show promotional video in ALL theaters.
● Names (and/or business logo) and photos displayed on a commemorative plaque in the main lobby.
● An Invitation to pre-show opening night receptions with a complimentary glass of champagne and two additional drinks during the show for the donor and one guest.
● Two free drinks throughout the season when attending a show in the Casa Karma Red Room or Danny’s Main Stage.
● Priority seating for each show.
● Angel Patrons may sponsor (or co-sponsor) a series (ie: Great American Songbook, ACT2 After Dark), or they may choose to have that series named in memory or commemoration.
● A personalized ACT2PV VIP Card for discounts at the box office. Additional tickets for friends and family may be purchased at a 50% discount all season at the box office (cash only).
● Advance notice of ticket sales for all ACT2PV Special Events.
● These benefits are non-transferable.
GOLD PATRONS: [$84,750.00MX** ($5000.00 US)]
A valued member of the Act2PV theater family, and our most common level of patronage, Gold Patrons contribute this amount or greater to help ensure the continuation of theater excellence in Puerto Vallarta. Gold Patron benefits include:
● Full access for one ticket holder (excluding ACT2PV Special Events, such as the Broadway Series)
● Names (and/or business logos) are printed in the NEW ACT2PV PLAYBILL.
● Names (and/or business logo) displayed on a commemorative plaque in the main lobby.
● An Invitation to pre-show opening night receptions with a complimentary glass of wine and two additional drinks during the show for the patron.
● Priority seating for each show.
● A personalized ACT2PV VIP Card for discounts at the box office. Additional tickets may be purchased at a 30% discount. (cash only).
● Advance notice of ticket sales for all ACT2PV Special Events.
● These benefits are non-transferable.
SILVER PATRONS [$50,300MX** ($3000.00 US)]
Friends of the theater who contribute this amount or greater to help ensure the continuation of theater excellence in Puerto Vallarta. Silver Patrons benefits include:
● Full access for one ticket holder (excludes ACT2PV Special Events, such as the Broadway Series).
● Names and/or business logos are printed in the NEW ACT2PV PLAYBILL.
● Names are displayed on a commemorative plaque in the main lobby.
● Invitation to pre-show Opening Night receptions with a complimentary glass of wine.
● Priority seating before each show all season.
● A personalized ACT2PV VIP Card for discounts at the box office. Additional tickets may be purchased at a 20% discount all season at the box office (cash only).
● Advance ticket notice for all ACT2PV Special Events.
● These benefits are non-transferable.
